Lara Gold, a recent graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse, is originally from Northern California. After attending The University of California at Irvine, where she studied dance and theatre, she moved to New York City to pursue acting. Since graduation, she has worked with The Looking Glass Theatre, The Falcon Thaetre, England, SanFrancisco Actor's Center, Culture Project, The Neighborhood Playhouse and been in several short films. She is especially excited to be working as a producer and actor in 'Am I Blue' with such a great cast and director. Thanks for the great opportunity Manhattan Rep!
Esther Barlow is a New York-based actor, director and producer. She recently performed Wendy Lill's one-woman show "The Occupation of Heather Rose" for LivingRoomArts, and toured the mid-west as Isabel in Athol Fugard's "My Children! My Africa!". Esther has directed and/or produced more than 15 shows in her native Canada, including Daniel MacIvor's "This is a Play" and Terrance McNally's "Bringing it All Back Home". She is a founding member and co-artistic director of the NY-based Bridge Theatre Company, now in its third season of bringing new Canadian works and artists to audiences south of the border. As an assistant-director, Esther's NY credits include George F. Walker's "Criminal Genius" and "Featuring Loretta", and Ruben Carbajal's "Portland". Esther is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse and holds a BAH in Drama and Film Studies from Queen's University.
