INTERNSHIPS AND VOLUNTEERS
Manhattan Rep is always seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns and volunteers to assist in managing festivals throughout the year.
This is an amazing opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of theatre production. Manhattan Rep’s interns/volunteers are involved with the day to day operations involved with running the festivals and managing the theatre.
Qualified candidates will possess superior customer service skills, have an amazing personality, are self-motivated individuals with basic computer knowledge (Mac training preferred, although not required), extremely organized, comfortable managing large groups of people, extremely proficient at juggling many tasks at once and interested in all aspects of theatrical management.
The following internship/volunteer requirements are as follows: must work 20hrs a week during festival months in the evenings from 5:30pm – 10:30pm Wednesday - Saturday. Outside of festival months days and times are flexible.
Interns/volunteers are needed at times to open and close the theatre, usher, bar serving assistance, assist with cleanup after the shows, moving audience in and out between shows, assist festival participants and monitor the hallway during performance time. Overall, interns/volunteers will be acting as Manhattan Rep’s theatre assistant.
School and resume credit available and the opportunity to have your show produced at Manhattan Rep free of charge (in accordance to Manhattan Rep’s festival and producing guidelines) after completing 200 hours of service. For festival and producing guideline information please log onto:
