With the success of The Playwriting Podcast, I have phased out the Playwriting Blog, to focus more on the Podcast, but there is still some great material here, so please check it out!

THE PLAYWRITING BLOG
Working in the vacuum of a computer screen can prove daunting for one is often trapped within the box of their perceptions and beliefs.
This “Playwriting Blog“ is designed to offer strategies and techniques for playwrights (and writers in general) "to get out of their heads" and write better, feel more motivated, get into that CREATIVITY ZONE, find more productive ways to complete a work, and to simply have more fun creating!
A playwright myself, with a myriad of my plays having been produced in New York City over the years, I have had the unique opportunity to work with hundreds of playwrights over our 11 year tenure here at Manhattan Rep in Midtown Manhattan, and I have seen over 3000 plays during that time (some more than once!) and read even more (the one’s we didn’t produce) so I have a few good ideas to help playwrights create awesome new work.
My plan is to post at least once weekly for a year and, also in conjunction with this blog, I am starting a Playwriting Podcast, (which was just released,) which will cover topics from this blog and more, which initially will be released weekly starting in June 2017, (if not bi-weekly.)
If you have any suggestions or comments, you can use the blogpost comments or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for reading! Here is to your unbounded creativity in 2017!
With best regards,
