Have you ever dreamed of writing a play but had no idea how to begin? Every great playwright starts somewhere. FIRST STEPS TO PLAYWRITING is a private 75 minute Zoom session for teens ages 13 to 19 who are curious about writing for the stage.

In this fun, encouraging session, you will learn how plays are built, where ideas come from, how to create characters that feel real, and how to shape a story an audience would want to watch. We will talk about dialogue, conflict, and the building blocks of a great play.

Most importantly, I will help you discover your next steps based on your interests, your experience, and your creative goals. Drawing on more than 35 years of theatre experience, I will answer your questions, demystify the process, and help you take your first steps with clarity, confidence, and excitement.
